Ireland Guide
With its pleasing setting, good cooking and courteous service from well-trained staff, the Cinnamon Garden is an asset to the Ashbourne area – and offers good value too.
The décor is rich and impressive. Well-spaced tables are beautifully dressed, the polished wood set off by bright red runners, candles and sparkling silverware. Some large tables would be suitable for families or groups of friends, but it would also be a good destination for a romantic night out.
There’s a modern approach to the cuisine that includes dishes from various parts of India, bringing a wide range of flavours to the menu.

Great Places 2019
“The menu is expansive and wonderfully varied, offering lots of authentic and delightfully fragrant dishes. Starters included crispy lamb mince samosas, pan-fried aloo tikka (potato cakes), as well as Bhatti ka murgh, a tasty-sounding dish of chicken thighs marinated overnight with hand pounded spices, garlic yoghurt and pomegranate.
I love good Indian food, and, when you find somewhere that really offers those authentic tastes and layers of flavour, you’re sure to return again and again”

Irish Independent
Cinnamon Garden is a restaurant that is striving to be the best. More Rogan Posh that Rogan Josh, Cinnamon Garden is a contemporary India restaurant serving modern Indian food in a beautifully decorated dining room.
I was impressed with the way the tables were set and with the cutlery, the crockery and glassware.
Even the menu itself had a high-quality binding, the kind you tend to get in French Michelin-starred restaurants.
I'd advise anyone who tries this place to go à la carte and ask for help if you need it. The menu says on the front page "this will blow your tastebuds to paradise". That's not far from the truth.
